Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how A&A Electrical, LLC ("A&A," "we," "us") collects, uses and protects information through our website, aaelectrical-llc.com, and our mobile and web applications, including the A&A Electrical app and the tools inside it (time clock, fire alarm test reports, emergency lighting reports, inventory and takeoff tools) (together, the "Services").

In short: the A&A Electrical app is a workforce tool for A&A employees and authorized users. We collect only what we need to run payroll, schedule jobs and produce inspection reports. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

1. Who the app is for

The A&A Electrical app is intended for A&A Electrical employees, supervisors, administrators, our accountant and other people we authorize. Accounts are created or approved by A&A. The app is not intended for the general public or for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

2. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, phone number, role (employee, supervisor, admin, accountant), language preference and sign-in details.
Employment and time information: clock-in and clock-out times, breaks and lunch, job and project assignments, schedules, time-off requests and balances, overtime approvals, supply runs, notes, pay rate and pay-period information needed for payroll.
Location information: while you are clocked in, the app uses your device's precise location — including in the background — to confirm arrival at and departure from job sites (geofencing), switch jobs automatically, and clock you out when you leave a site. We do not track your location when you are not clocked in.
Photos and files: pictures you choose to take or upload, such as receipts, inventory items, test-report and job-site photos, and drawings for estimating.
Work records: fire alarm and emergency lighting test results, device lists, customer and building information, inventory counts and estimates you enter.
Notifications: a device token so we can send push notifications, and, if you opt in, your mobile number for text-message alerts.
Technical information: basic device and app information (device type, operating system, app version) and error logs used to keep the app working.

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not require you to provide any personal information.

3. How we use information

To record hours worked and process payroll, time off and overtime.
To schedule crews and jobs and notify you about shifts, lunch, clock-out, approvals and job changes.
To prepare inspection and test reports for building owners, fire departments and other authorities having jurisdiction.
To track inventory, bill jobs and prepare estimates.
To keep the Services secure, fix problems and comply with legal obligations (for example, wage-and-hour record keeping).

4. How information is shared

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only:

Inside A&A with the people who need it for their role — for example, supervisors and admins see their team's hours and locations while on the clock; our accountant sees payroll information.
With service providers that run the Services on our behalf, under their own privacy and security commitments: Google Firebase (hosting, sign-in, database, notifications), Netlify (web hosting), Twilio (text messages) and Intuit QuickBooks (accounting, payroll and customer records).
With customers and authorities when a report is meant for them — for example, a fire alarm test report delivered to a building owner or fire department.
When required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and property of A&A, our employees or others.

5. Your choices

Location: you can change location permission in your device settings. Geofence features (automatic job switching and clock-out) require location while you are clocked in.
Notifications and texts: you can turn off push notifications in your device settings. Reply STOP to any A&A text to stop text messages; reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
Photos and camera: the app only uses the camera or photo library when you choose to add a picture.
Access and correction: you can view your own time entries in the app and ask an admin to correct them.

6. Data retention and account deletion

We keep time and payroll records as long as required by Massachusetts and federal wage-and-hour and tax laws, and inspection reports as long as needed for code compliance. Other information is kept while your account is active.

You may request deletion of your account and personal information at any time by emailing aaelectrical284@gmail.com with the subject "Account deletion request," or from the account settings in the app. We will delete or de-identify your information within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to keep, which we will retain only for the required period.

7. Security

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access controls so each user sees only what their role allows. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and notify app users of significant changes.
